Default would this work?

i have an open diff. i want something to act like a lsd. would this work

http://www.jamesoaksenterprises.com/...88-lockers.htm

Powertrax Lock-Right

P/N PT 1822

Ford 8.8-Inch 31-Spline Locker

For Open Differentials

Fits 1987 & newer 31-spline 8.8-Inch rear axles.

The Powertrax Lock-Right and Performance Lockers' straight-line performance is equal to a solid spool axle, yet automatically unlocks to allow full differentiation in turns. The lockers also reduce the excessive noise, tire wear, and drivetrain damage associated with other lockers. Made in the U.S.A., Powertrax lockers replace the spider gears in your differential carrier without affecting your ring and pinion settings. The whole job can be done in your driveway with common hand tools in a couple of hours. A carrier is not included.

Price $303.95

a picture is half way down the page in the middle.

also how do i kno if i have the 28 or 31 spline axles

its aloooot of work to add a locker man. You need to know if you have an 8.8 housing and how many splines are on your axle. its almost always going to be 28 spline.

the only safe way is to pull your azle and count them. and yes a locker replaces the spider gears and just bolts up

they established that. difference is does he have the 28 or 31 spline axles.

better way is to search for the axle tube sizes and measure yours.
