4.88 gear sets can be purchased anywhere 4.56 gear sets can. also, learning to set gears is a good thing to learn so if you can work side by side with someone that knows how to do it i would go that route. you will save money and you will learn something. takes alot of patience and a few special tools and knowledge to set gears, thats why it costs so much to have done.

alright im learning alot lately, i took apart part of a honda odyssey transmission yesterday at work, talk about complicated, thank god i had a pro leading me.

the highest gear ratio that ford 9 inch had was 4:30 to 1 i beleive. But people build these rear ends alll the time. So sometimes you get lucky
