Default Transmission Removal

Slave cylinder went out and a friend and I decided to try and change it out. Here are the specifics:

1994 - 4x2 - 2.3L - Regular Cab - 178,535 miles, Cayman Green Metallic Clearcoat

We have everything disconnected; driveshaft, speedo, starter.....you get the idea. We are having trouble getting all of the bolts loose that hold the engine and transmission together. Can anyone recommend a particular length of extension, type of wrench, name of magician....?

I haven't driven this truck since November and I really miss it.

Any help you can offer would be great.

Thanks in advance,

FERG

Default Re: Transmission Removal

a good craftsman 6 point socket, a half inch drive rachet and if needed an extension between them. oh and "PB Blaster". it comes in an aerosol can at any parts store. just spary it all over the bolts, wait a couple minutes, spray again, then try wrenching again. anytime you have a steel bolt threaded into aluminum, it will cause you headaches. but be careful, dont break the bolts off!!!
