Default Bad grinding and banging source found

Found the problem on what happened I think. Lower CV or hub. BUT before I even got to that point I fell and ripped my leg open on the hub bolts and ended up going to the ER for 12 fuckin stitches

If someone could help me out with indentifying this garbage I would appreciate it. Also If there is anyone local that can help and has the know how to help me fix this shoot me a PM or text.

I dont really care about the stitches but I'm so pinched on time and everything the ER trip set me back from things I have to do. Plus I have this problem on top of the ball joints to do. I just need to figure out what I'm looking at and see if I have the right tools for it.

its hard to tell in the vid but is the sound coming from out by the hub area or near the diff? looks to me like the CV is shot, the boot is torn so there is probably no grease in it anymore so that would be my first suspect.

ps, just got your text. lol

i bet ya the bangin noise you are hearing is your ball joints. then the griinding is either the hub or CV

I did, the noise is the base of the CV inside the boot

Its cool man, I was putting it back together somewhat
Yup, no grease, and the sound you here is pieces rattling around in it, once in a while it will just lock up with the pieces catching everything

i would pull that CV out and replace it, you can find them cheap at the junk yard, that will get you buy until you can buy a new one. if you can plan to do the BJ's at the same time that would be great because you will have to pop either the upper or the lower BJ to swap the CV out, that would be a good time to do the BJ's too.

It was ok, right off the bat I noticed in the mud that front drivers side tire wasnt spinning, I think it just fell apart. I believe the CV's are stock so I guess they had their time.

So I take it your mustang light didnt show? Pm me with what the tracking says

I have to price cv's, I'm afraid to get them at the yard and end up with a POS. Plus I am limited to what I can bring into the yard as far as tools. Would I have to replce the hub too being that the CV broke where it did?
