Default 4wd conversion

I have a 2005 ranger edge automatic. Can someone give me a list of parts for a 4wd conversion and how to do it? Thank you!

Step one - sell 2wd ranger.
Step two - buy 4wd ranger.

The amount of time, money, and fabrication does not justify this project for many. It is easier and cheaper to buy a 4wd ranger if you need one that bad.

unless your gonna go wild and build a complete custom set up i agree with vegas, all the time, money, and fab work, your just better off to sell it and buy a 4x4

You will need to find a 2004 or 2005 4wd truck check with salvage yards you can find a complete truck cheap. Just sit it next to yours and start taking parts off.
Every thing is a bolt on except the rear mount for the front differential. Some have said they have a newer 2wd truck(torsion bar suspension) that has the mount, but I haven't seen one. You will need to cut the mount off the donor truck or fabricate one. You will need the obvious: complete front axle(with gear to match your rear axle), axle shafts, spindles, transmission, transfer case, both drive shafts, and radio bezel. Be sure the spindles match your brake setup(rabs or 4wabs) To do it factory style you will need to change the dash wiring harness and you will need the 4x4 body control module located beside the radio. This harness also extends down to the transfer case to connect the electric transfer case motor. You need the frame harness to get the plug for the transfer case. You may be able to create your own harness for the transfer case. It is easier to use the OEM one. If you change your dash harness make sure it has power doors if you have power doors. there could be wiring issues I am not aware of like the body control module may need programed for your truck. You will also need a 4wd cluster if you want the indicator lights. You can also go with the pvh setup to gain the extra 3-5 mpg benefit and probably use manual lock out hubs.

That is the easiest conversion that I have ever heard of!

I have the 2wd edge with the torsion bars so i guess i dont have to cut off the rear mount?
