Default Lost bolts out of rear driveshaft

I was driving and heard a clunk and my truck started vibrating and jerking. I drove it about half a block and it got progressively worse. When I pulled over and looked under the truck, only one bolt of the driveshaft was still holding the driveshaft to the rear differential. Has anybody had experience with this or know what would cause this?

i had mine loosen up some how once. had a bad vibration like the u-joints were bad. i had recently done some work with the DS out, and probably didn't get them torqued down enough.

Yeah, I did notice a vibration prior to them coming out completely. I went to ford today and bought four new bolts and replaced them. I uses a 12 point box wrench with a bigger wrench on the end to give me leverage and hopefully they are tight enough. I will just check them periodically. The front ones were loose too though so I tightened them down too. I guess I lost two of them and then the other two were holding and it sheered one off and that's when I got the really bad vibrations. Definitely something to watch out for though.
