Default front diff.

yesterday I chand the oil in the front diff. since I cant take the cover off,after I un screwed the plug a small amount ran out so I put the tube from the suction pump in the bottom but no more oil!I then put new oil in less then half a qt! befor it driped out.Now is this NORMAL?

The tube must not have been all the way down to the bottom.

Obviously it wasn't if you only pumped a half of a quart out. There's nothing wrong with your diff.

yeah man, either it wasn't at the bottom, or the truck wasn't level. it should take around 2+ quarts

Just re done I had more oil it then I thought! cause it gushed out! But I have to say FORD could of did a better job of leaving the front diff. open to work on! you just have room for 1 hand!
