Default pilot bearing

How do you know if it goes out without dropping the tranny to find out? I think mine is out. I'm getting a chattering kinda noise. Will the transmission shaft move around? When I have pressure on the clutch it goes away. Any ideas?

I think yours is out too! or the throwout bearing is anyway.

Pressure on the clutch making it go away means pushing on the throwout bearing makes the sound stop, like the throwout bearing could be going out.

Either way, trannys comin out.

Do a full clutch kit, the parts aren't expensive anyway, just takes labor to do it all. The clutch kit with clutch/pressure plate/throwout/release was like $90.
