Default Auto to manual?

My original automatic tranny has 377,000 miles on it and I was wondering how hard it would be to put in a manual if it goes. It's a 1990 xlt 4.0 v6

I cant vouch for the anything older than 95. But I did it on my 97 and it was real easy. Hardest part.....the clutch pedal bracket. Best thing for the cheapest buck is to find a donor truck. Strip it and scrap the carcuss

same here did it on a 2000.. honestly the hardest part of the whole swap was doing the computer programming which wasnt that bad. the swap itself was dead simple.

X2.... Find a donor truck that is the same year and swap out the tranny and the computer. its not hard at all could do it in a day easily even if you've never done it before.
