Default Hydraulic clutch problem

Hi, I have a nice 96 Ranger XL 2.3L 5 speed 103,000. The clutch pedal just started going down halfway before you can feel any pressure, and it doesn't disengage the clutch enough to shift. I checked the master cylinder and it appeared about 2/3 full and I topped it off, no difference. There is no evidence of leaking, and pumping the pedal makes no difference.

Any idea's? Thanks.

Default Re: Hydraulic clutch problem

Same problem on mine. Check ur clutch master cylinder connected to the pedal and the throwout bearing/slave cylinder assembly.
