Default Front diff question

well guys as we all know 98 they started tbar and mines a 97...my concern is that freakin front diff when im wheelin i hit it the other day...just barely but i still did cause i was on a steep incline and i mean anyways to avoid this really...this may be a long shot but how big of a pain in butt would it be to do torsion bar conversion if even possible...and i think sas is out of the question unless i can do that for less than 600$ and im doubtin that....thanks in advance

No way it would even be practical to do a 98+ swap. Frames are different widths. For the work envoled it'b be better to go SAS. 98+ use hydrolic steering. You'd have to build some type of custom blocks/spacers to mount control arms. Best bet is to either sell the truck and buy a newer one, Or, SAS it.

I found with my 97 that the 6" lift seemed like the spring were to tall for the drop brackets. I mean, it should have had 6" coils with say 4" drop brackets, to set it up like it should. If you get under by the trans and look forward, the top of the axle shafts should be around the bottom of the pivot point bolt. After my lift, the bottom of the axle was at the top of the pivot point bolts. If that makes any sense!
