Question Transmission and speedo problem

So I was driving to school and all of a sudden the speedometer went to zero and the odometer stopped working. The ABS light came on, check engine light came on, and o/d light started to flash. The truck ran ok until I had to come to a stop. Then it had a real problem shifting from 1st to second, but I was able to coax it by letting off of the accelerator at the right shift speed. I just got the truck from a landscaping company, its a 1999 4Cyl with 157,200 miles. I'd greatly appreciate any help, oh and this is my first post.

Wow, you got yourself alot of lights. Best way to find out is to have the codes scanned. Your Check Engine can be checked at Autozone, but the O/D Off light which is the check transmission light can only be read by more advanced scanners like at a transmission shop.
