Just did my first front hub assembly replacement! Used Timkin assembly, and It was pretty easy. I'm not joe mechanic, so had to borrow some tools, but I already had an impact wrench which helped on the axle nut.
First bearing took me 2+ hours, as I couldn't get the old bearing off the spindle. I was afraid to start wacking it(the bearing), so finally went and borrowed a puller, which helped immensely. Second replacement took only 45 minutes. Anyone can do this project with minimal experience and a friend with tools
Truck now riding like new. So happy I decided to save the 800.00 on having the mechanic do it. Net savings over 500.00!!!
