Clutch problem? I'm without a vehicle: please help!

Hello everyone,
As I pulled up to a stoplight and shifted to first I heard a "thunk" ...the truck was still running but wouldn't go forward...coasted into a driveway. Clutch pedal feels normal and I'm able to put it into gear, but then nothing. In neutral, when releasing the clutch it turns off as if it were in gear. Thoughts? Thanks!!!!

Oh boy, you have alot more than a clutch problem my friend. I would tow it to the nearest dealer on this one cause it sounds like your tranny just took a dump, and has done some other damage. The clutch on a ranger just plain sucks and basicly is a ford only part depending on certain models. I've been through 3 clutches. The first one was due to a busted flywheel. The second burned up due to an extreme oil leak. I'm on my 3rd clutch now but it seems to be doing fine. The dealer you take it to might have a Loan vehicle you can use until it's repaired.

Thanks...that's what I was afraid of... failed to mention it's a 94 Ranger, original clutch..
