Does anyone have a pic of how the transfer case should sit?

Mine is hanging on the skid plate and I cant find anywhere to bolt it back up!

Can try I still drive in 2wd to take it to get fixed?

You my friend, have big problems.

I'm not sure how the T-case is set up in a Ranger. Have you tried driving it in 4x2 to see if anything is making noise? And how did you bust it in two?

I have no idea....
It started clunking and I looked underneath to see it was destroyed!
Can I still run in 2wd?

i think when your transfercase is busted in half you shouldnt be driving it, sorry to hear man, looks like its time to hit up sgi salvage, if your gonna go to a ford dealer i highly suggest wilkie ford, they are really good

Will a 99-2000 tcase work? One in biggar for 175..

OK, from below

Better one from side. Tcase is on the right - you can see bolts

So on the left is front of tcase. There is a piece between transmission and tcase. That is literally broken all the way around.
Can I replace just that part?

yes you can replace just that middle piece. Damn, I just junked two trannies with that piece on them.

I dont know what its called, but auto trans have shorter ones than manual trans.
