need transfer case pic
Looking for some pics of how your tcase is mounted to the truck...
Mine is flopping in the wind and I cant even see how it was held before....

its held on by the transmission. what do you mean by "its flopping in the wind"? is your trans x-member shot?

There is a piece between transmission and trans case that looks like more transmission.
Its sheared in half but just the casing...

thats part of your transmission, it adapts the trans to the T-Case. if thats broken that sounds like youve figured out your issue.

yes you can replace it. Its just a spacer really, I dont think there are any major mechanicall/functional parts to it. When I swapped my auto to manual the t-case just bolted up to it. I think the main purpose is that the drive shafts need to be the same for various trucks (auto,manual) and since the trannies are different size, ford would have to make special driveshafts for each app. This way, they put the T-case in one spot, make a universal driveshaft and just use a spacer between manual and auto trannies. Make sense...? I think I lost myself thru that
