Default Mitsubishi 5 spd shifter loose

Could not find a thread for help on this, I took mine apart. The shifter had wire twisted at the bottom, and could spin around, it was real loose with a very long throw.
I took it apart removed the wire, and duct tape handle. the first part to fix was the protruding steel through the composit ball for the shift socket. I removed the ball completely, wiped every everything down with alcohol reposted the ball on the furled end with some JB Weld. With the end epoxied and polished, I found a stiff spring that just fit around the diameter of the shaft. got that twisted down past the double pinch on the shaft. the spring is stiff enough to provide a tight fit. The pictures show the deal.

Best thing to do is to edit your signature, then we would know the details of your truck without you having to post them every time you have a question

It is not about Laughing, I don't get to contribute much, there seemed to a blank spot for a fix on this trans, and I did it. (smiley face).
I usually am happy if I can find out which bolts are SAE vs Metric!
