Do the ujoints at the steering knuckle spin when the front driveshaft spins? If they DO then the diff is spinning and the hubs/lockouts are not. If the ujoints are NOT spinning then the diff has a problem and you need to pop the cover off and find out.
If you can't test it, stick a screwdriver in each front u joint and try it, if it flies our or breaks, you have a working diff,
DOn't be surpsied to see one side spin and not the other, unless you have a locker... then be surprised
