Default driveshaft problem

hey guys i have a 1991 ranger, and when you give it some gas, the driveshaft rattles, but settles down when your done accelerating. i found that the bushing for the carrier bearing was bad, so i replaced it along with the bearing. the problem is about 90% fixed, but still does it. there is a 3 inch lift on it, so i was wondering if the carrier bearing needs to be lowered to level out the driveshaft a little bit. if thats the case, has any one done it, or if thats not the problem what could it be?

thanks

Default Re: driveshaft problem

take the driveshaft out and manualy check the u-joints. make sure they aren't worn out or frozen. most people miss the frozen ones,no play when you wiggle, but will bind.
