My '03 4.0 is at about 2600 at 70 so that is probably about right for a 3.0 I think.

i got a 2005 3.0 and at 60 its 2000, at 70 its at about 2400-2600. so 3000 seems a little high to me. im usually at 3000 at around 75-85 mph

my 4.0 with 3.55 gears and 235s is pulling 2400 at 70.

It all depends on your gear ratio and tire size.

how is your low end power though with those gears? and your tires are 27"? how hard was it to change your gearing?

to me, the low end is great. a friend of mine had a 3.0 with 4.11s, plus tuner, and some other work. we ran one day and were dead even. my truck came stock with 3.08s being a 4.0 with a 5 speed. changing the gears were as easy as replacing the axle. went with a l/s explorer axle.

It all depends on what gears you have. I have a 3.0 manual with 4.10 gears that run at almost 3k (about 2800-2900) at 70mph. If you have 4.10 gears then this is normal.
