Default I have a 94 ford 4cyl ranger that is geared too high. It spins the tires and

wont pull out on a hill.? I spins the tires or kills itself. I do know how to use a clutch. Can you buy lower gears? If so where can you buy them and what are they called. thanks Richard

you could put a larger diameter tire and rim on the rear end. that will help some and is much cheaper and easier than doing a gearset change

i think those manual trans rangers came stock with a 4.10 gearset already. suppose you could step up to a 4.56 or so.
