Exclamation manual tranny problems, cant figure it out. throw out bearing?

Whats up guys? Bought a 02 ranger about 5 months ago. 105xxx on it. 02 5 speed 2.3.. bad it a week and clutch went out. So i replaced the clutch and pressure plate and went on and replaced master cylinder. Everything else looked fine. Drove like a new one for a while.. now im having some major problems. If started in neutral, i cannot get it to go in 1st/reverse. VERY severe resistance. I have to shut it off to get it in 1st/reverse which can be very annoying at redlights ect. It also makes a loud whining noise when trying to be put in first. after i get outta first going into second is pretty ruff. Id say 50% resistance. Also makes loud crack/pop noise when finnally going in gear. 3rd-5th also has resistance but not as bad. I tryed double clutching and it works somedays and somedays it dosent help any. dosent drive much better after it warms up... its winter here in the ol bluegrass state... but somedays it will shift fairly well. But thats once in a blue moon. Throw out bearing? Linkage? Really puzzled at the moment. Thanks for any advice!

Did you replace the slave cylinder or just the master? Could be just some air in the system. These things are a devil to bleed.

Forgot to mention that lol worked all night aint been to bed yet lol had the slave repkaced too and bled the lines twice. Once myself and had mechanic to do it the 2nd time. Run decent after that for a day. Thanks for replying!

If you paid the mechanic I'd take it back to him. If the master and slave are new, It sounds like it wasn't bled correctly.

Honestly, with the entire clutch being new, it sounds like air in the lines to me.

It's almost impossible to bleed the master with it in the truck. You almost have to take the master, reservior, and hose out and bench bleed it, then reinstall. Then you can just gravity bleed the slave.

I concur about the bleeding of the MC. there are videos around by perfection that show ho to do it. The trowout bearing should have been replaced with the slave cylinder. what brand parts did you use?

FYI. once you get the clutch figured out you have a pretty solid truck there. the drivetrain is pretty bullet proof, if the mileage is real the thing will go for w while longer.......
