Default How hard is it to align a 4x4 Ranger?

Anyone know how hard it is to align a 1985 Ford Ranger 4x4?

Mines out of alignment bad.......

Talked with a guy I know and he said straight axle is easier but he takes his TTB to a shop because the camber bushings are a PITA to do.

Alot of shops don't know how to correctly align a TTB Ford. You may be better off doing it by yourself. Camber eccentrics aren't a pain, if you spray them with WD40 or PB Blaster first.

If you can find a shop that can align a TTB, then go ahead and let them do it. If not, have them give you the measurements so you can buy the corresponding camber eecentrics. As far as toe and caster go, i'm pretty clueless. IIRC, Toe was set by adjusting the tie rods. But it's more involved than that. Alignments consist of alot of measurements. There was a recent thread about camber eccentrics on here, i'll see if I can find it for you. If I were you, I would read up quite a bit on self alignments.
