i have a 92 ford ranger and a friend and i were installing a new head unit and we got a little crazy cutting wires. after we were done i realized my 4X4 wasn't working so we looked into and we found out that we had cut the wires that went to the transfer case. so what i am thinking about doing is switching it over to a manual transfer case. i was wondering what i would need to get to make this work? would any manual transfer case from a 89-92 ranger work?

My truck is a 92 regular cab ranger with a 2.3L engine and a manual transmission.

Manual transfer case...hm....no wires..except probably for the wire to show yer engaged in 4x4 on yer dash..

Eh....you might have to find a new transmission maybe but maybe yers will work. Compare the old transfer case to a manual transfer case from another later ranger and see if it will bolt onto yer transmission.
