Default 4 wheel drive Solenoid part number?

I'm not sure this is even my problem, but I'm looking for a part number for that solenoid that is mounted on the transfer case (2000 Ranger XLT 4x4)

The problem is that the 4 wheel drive is no longer engaging. I can hear a faint 5 clicks from behind the dash switch when I try to engage it, but the light never comes on, and it's definitely not in 4 wheel drive. (The 4 low/4 hi lights are both ok - they light for a few seconds after the engine starts)

I was hoping to pick up the part at AdvanceAuto or NAPA, but can't find the item on their websites. It looks like it won't be to hard to replace, but first I need to find the part at the auto parts store

I just found out it's not called a "solenoid", it's called a "shift motor" or transfer case motor. I was able to find it at advance auto, but now I don't know if that's the problem. I tried checking the plug voltage that goes to shift motor, but nothing was registering, but there are 12 pins and I have no idea what is what

My '02 XLT 4x4 Off Road will sometimes engage in 4x4 and sometimes it wont. What I mean by this is when I turn the switch in to 4x4 High or Low, it will click and the light on the dash will show up and it WILL be in 4x4 and sometimes when I turn the switch in to 4x4 High or Low, it will NOT click and the light will not show up and it DOES NOT go in to 4wd. I replaced the 4x4 Control Module (the box the "clicks" when the truck engages) a couple months ago and it work perfectly fine for about 3 months and this started up again. Ive been getting so frustrated with it because I just can't pin point what the issue is. I've gone to 4 Ford Dealerships to try to get a mechanic to give me an idea and they all said it could be anything, the only way to find it is to run a diagnostics test on it for $68.....Is this what your same problem is?
