Default gurgling noise

Today I went to drive my ranger to the store and I started it up. I put it into neutral and I let my foot off the clutch to let it warm up a little bit. After I left my foot off the clutch I can hear a pretty loud gurgling noise coming from where the shifter comes out of the floor. I just recently changed out the seats so the carpet is out of the truck and it just started to do that today. And when I drive it it does it while driving down the road untill I push the clutch in. I was wondering if anyone here knows what that might be. I have the Mazda 5 speed manual transmission in my ranger.

mazda/ford same tranny no difference.. but i'm stumped without hearing it? ... worn input shaft bearings in the trans will cause input shaft to rattle with heat on, a/c compressor engaged caused by slight engine vibration.

(a/c compressor engages when heat is on, to circulate compressor oil)..... my truck does it with a/c compressor engaged, while in neutral, clutch pedal released, stops when clutch pedal pressed..

TEST: switch heat dial to vents only, a/c compressor will disengage see if noise stops, or turn heat off n try it?

if its as described, keep an ear on it.. you will be looking for a tranny in the future... rebuild kit is $380 n bout same in labor.

Well i guess its like a rattling but it comes from right below the shifter.

----------

We have driven the truck for a 100 miles now since we got it, and it never done this till today, Its been cold out and some snow, so I dont know if it doing this cause its cold, or someone was saying something about the throwout bearing.

TO bearing should squeal if bad, but idk, cant say its not that..... fluid might be low, or aged.. go a head and change tranny fluid,,, it uses Mercon 5,,, the drain plug is magnetic, be sure and clean it off.. also it takes 3.5 quarts. easiest way to fill tranny is pull the shifter out and pour in from inside the cab. not enough room under it..
