Default Vilant vibration felt at the steering wheel.

2000 3.0 xlt 4x4 Ranger 100k+ mil.
I was driveng at 65mpr coming to a slite bend in the free way and as I got into the tern the truck started to vibrat . I had no choise but to slow down , it was that bad. As I slowed down the vibration went away. I was then able to get bake up to free way speed with out any ferther insadants.

What should I be looking for?

i would be looking for worn steering/ suspension components like tie rods ends, ball joints, wheel bearings, control arm bushings ect. also when was the last time you had your wheels balanced?

I got under the truck and looked at every thing that you mentioned. Every thing looks good. The wheel bearing hubs look as though thay have just been replaced. The brakes checked out. The cv axles Have been replaced with in the last couple 1000mil. They have nice shiny new boots along with their stickers. What will it feel like if I am stuck in 4wd going 65mph on pavement?

Between the dealer and me we couldn't fined anything wrong with the front end of the truck. So maybe one of the front hubs/or both were looked in 4 wheel drive when it was suppose to be in 2 wheel drive. which inter made the front tire/tires too wheel chatter.

Thanks to all that have tride to help.

Was it vibration or like death wobble...? was the steering wheel violently going back and forth...?
