Default dana 44 front nd rear?

Ok so I decided I want a solid front axle.
I just found a dana 44 front nd rear out of a wagoneer for 300.
My questions are;
What will this do to my stance? Is it wider?
Is it worth putting the rear in also?
And what gear set is reccommended running 33s. Plan on usiing daily nd for trail rides and mud bogs.

It will be slightly wider but it depends on if its a NT (61ish WMS) or WT (63ish WMS) Wagoneer. The rear axle isnt bad but it isnt an upgrade from your Lvl 2 8.8 it is actually a downgrade. I would swap the front axle in and have new shafts made for the 8.8 to convert to 6x5.5 to match the front axle. Gearing I would go 4.10 or 4.56, since your truck already has 4.10's in the back you could save money by just matching the front to those instead of paying to have both regeared. If the expense isnt a big deal then go 4.56's.

On a side note. I would recommend stepping up to a 35" tire as your truck will look very odd with a 33" tire and the lift required for the swap. Keeping a truck low can be difficult so there is a "minimum" amount of lift required just to keep the axle out of the oil pan/frame.

Thanks. The two come as set so stuck with rear. 410s sounds good also. Can't wait!

Sell the rear, its worth at least $100 to some jeep guys.

Well my truck is grounded for about 90 days at the moment so I have plenty of time to work on it....
