I have a 2000 4x4 and recently I have noticed a vibration at around 60-70 mph. Got under there and everything looks fine .... it has new lower ball joints and upper control arms. New inner and outer tie rod ends, just re balanced the wheels again and there is no up and down movement of the wheel.... I was thinking cv joints, but have no clue how to check them.... and would they cause a vibration at high speeds ???

Could you describe the vibration? Like where it comes from, the frequency, does it change with vehicle speed ect.

After all that work did you get an alignment? Mine did the same thing and a camber was off

Yaaa man for an alignment after every part I put on ... and it does increase with speed but tops out at like 75 and its a humm but you can feel it in the peddle wheel and seats .... funny this is when I'm on a bend in the highway turning right it goes away ... turning left it does not..... I'm stumped

I had the same exact problem. It took 2 different shops to balance them right. The one rim was a little off on my old rims and it needed a ton of weights!

Ya I'm running steel wheels to but j literally brought them in to be balanced 3 days ago and there was zero improvement .... I wish I would have kept my stock ones to test this

you could try rotating the front to the rear, see if anything happens then

My 98 does the exact same thing. I replaced upper and lower control arms, tie rod ends, sway bar links, dealer alignment, etc.. After all the swaps I have the same vibration but it starts at 75 instead of 65 now.

Next on my radar are wheel bearings.
