Unhappy New Guy with Brake Problem Need Expert help

I am working on my Sons 2001 Mazda B3000. I replaced the Front Rotors and Pads. (The Brakes pulsed warped rotors) I took the truck for a test drive and now when braking and slowing down the brakes release a slow speed. I first thought it was the ABS braking systems now I think it might be the master cylinder. I have a new MC ready to go in but I have ABS brakes and everything I read is you need to have this done professionally so you can bleed the ABS. But really I am guessing. Any ideas from the Ford Ranger community. I really appreciate any help.
Thanks Dave SolarRover Near St Louis in the Metro East.

Red face Re: New Guy with Brake Problem Need Expert help

I have greased the slide pins I did bleed the brakes but only a little bit at each wheel. Should I replace the master cylinder. Another point. When I get in the vehicle and it is parked on the slope of my drive way (manual Trans) I start and release the parking break, my foot is pressing down on the brake the truck does not respond to the braking pressure until i pump the brake a few times. The initial foot on the brake will not hold the truck.

Thanks

That sounds like there's still air in your system. A more thorough bleed or even a total line flush (bleed until you get new fluid through) should correct that. This may also correct your slow-to-release issue.

And welcome to FRF!

Thumbs down Re: New Guy with Brake Problem Need Expert help

This is CRAZY
I replaced the MC no change. I had planned on giving up for the evening but decided to put my old brake pads on the truck. I changed out the brake pads and it stops on a dime, but now my ABS light is on... ANYONE..... I'm in uncharted waters.....
