Or do whatever you want to do, I think the mpg differences would be minimal at best.

Now write this myth into mythbusters and have them test it. Settle the dispute once and for all.

Saying that your method uses less gas is the same as saying mine uses more gas, genius. Coasting in gear cuts off the fuel injection, and you're claiming that uses more gas than what you're doing. Which makes no sense.
