my guess that its your slave cylinder. mine went out and did the same thing. just don't go cheep on a clutch job when you do it. have all the internal parts replaced so it don't come back and bite you in the ass. it will save you money in the long run.

O ya i never thought of that But thanx man. What if that doesnt fix the problem tho?? Then what could it be? I mean ive heard of it being as simple as a tranny fluid change or even the tranny itself being bad?

A couple things come to mind here, One is to check the fluid. If it still has the ATF in it, change it to gear oil. Two is to check the plastic bushing thingy at the bottom of the shifter.
You will have to take the shifter out, it is easy, a couple screws come out then if you can't get the big shifter bolt out, just undo the plate at the bottom. It takes a star shaped trox but an allen will do.

You can buy the bushing set at ford, there cheap.

I would say if you tear the shifter out to replace/check the bushings, just go ahead and change the fluid anyhow. Its really easy to drain it then fill up from the top of the trans.

The bushings are blue, also the kit comes with new pins for the side.

My Prob was the blue bushings, they were ground to nothing. This was a huge help for me. http://www.therangerstation.com/Maga...erbushings.htm
