Default Flywheel dowel pins

Im about to replace the clutch in my truck and decided to go ahead and just replace the flywheel rather than having the old one resurfaced. The new flywheel came with the dowel pins in a bag rather than inserted in the flywheel. As a DIY'er I'm not sure how to go about installing the dowel pins. It seems it is not as simple as just tapping them into the holes. Im assuming there is a tool for it. Does anyone know of any redneck tricks for inserting these dowel pins. Maybe I should should just take it to a repair shop and see if they might insert the pins for me for a minimal fee.

I pretty much have the rest under control but these dowel pins are an unexpected hiccup in my endeavor. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thumbs up

Thanks. I was afraid to just hammer then in for fear it would squirrel up the end of the dowel pin. It worked.

Rubber mallet or dead blow hammer is ideal not a regular nail hammer
