Default 1985 ranger transmission help?!?

Hello

so I am working on taking my transmission out and replacing it and cant figure out for the life of me how to disconnect the hydrolic clutch line from the outside of the bell housing? the line has a hook type thing around it and is in an extremely hard spot to reach... I have attached some pics they are the best I could because the angle is so awkward...

IIRC you can drop the trans before disconnecting the line...At least it will give you a little more room... Or at least that was the case in my 95

so just unbolt the bell housing and pull it off? I am just replacing the transmission and not the clutch so is there really any reason to disconnect it? Is the only reason to disconnect the pedal and slave cylinder a precautionary measure in case someone pushes down the clutch pedal?

Yeah...basically...There should be a electrical plug or two on the trans for reverse lights and such...Just Take off the drive shaft, cross member, then unbolt the trans from the engine (but make sure something is holding it up obviously)

FORGOT TO MENTION! you might have to take the exhaust off too...I think we took it off when we replaced the clutch plate but I dont remember when we did the slave cylinder because I was working on the tailgate while my buddy did the slave cylinder.
