Default 1st 5spd 1994 2.3l Ford Ranger HELP!!!

Ok, so this is my first 5spd. I have no idea if the clutch pedal should be going to the floor before I can shift. Right now I have to wait for the rpms to go down before shifting into 2nd or 3rd or it will grind. I do not feel resistance on the clutch. Should I replace the clutch? Also should I replace the Slave cylinder at the same time? Any help would be great.

Default Re: 1st 5spd 1994 2.3l Ford Ranger HELP!!!

On the '94 2.3L, I would definitely have the Slave Cylinder checked first. I have been through 4 of them since i got it in '97 and have no idea why they "inverse blow" so bad. I am actually kinder on this clutch than any other vehicle I have had in the past, but when you just can't shift any longer, check the Slave before the clutch itself.
