Default Question about turning (machining) brake rotors

I will be needing to do a brake job soon and have a question. When I take my rotors to be turned and if only one can be turned, would it be ok to buy a new rotor and keep the turned one too? Or would it be better to have two new rotors? What about drums?

Honestly It would be better to just buy the extra rotor. I mean especially if you have the extra money. Plus it will be under warranty.

Get new ones, they are cheap enough these days. No one is really turning rotors much anymore around by me since new rotors are cheap enough

I figured I'd get new ones anyway, just thought I'd ask. New ones for my truck start at about $40. O'reilly's still turns rotors down here.

I had some old chevy blazers that got turned, the surface comes out great but one guy overlooked the rot on the inner part and it broke so I had to get new ones anyway
