I have a 98 Ranger thats two wheel drive, its a v6 3.0L, it actually starts but when you give it throttle it dies, it threw a p0300 code which is a multiple misfire code but makes no sense. Could it be the throttle position sensor or does it sound like the pump regulator? or could it be something else?

ill grab my manual and let you know what it might mean.
what i found:
p0300 is a random misfire--> check all the cylinders, youll have to isolate which cylinder is misfiring, then move from there. i dont think it is the tps or the fuel pump because those would have thrown codes if they messed up.
fuel pump and thottle position sensor codes are p0221 though p0232
