Default Transmission and Diff. oil

Guys, just a heads up. I will be doing a lot of extended towing(not heavy loads) in the next few months. Its a 105mi. trip, one way to the boat launch. I decided to change out my 5 speed tranny fluid and rear end oil to full synthetic.

The ATF in the tranny looked good coming out, but looked at it in the pan and it looked like metallic red paint. Nothing wrong, just normal break in. Refilled with Mobil1 ATF. Pulled the differential cover and had the same story. Fluid looked good coming out, but in the pan the metallic coloring was evident. Refilled with Mobil1 75W90.

After 200 mi. can't feel any difference in shifting(good or bad). Break in on these units does make a bunch of crud. Should be good for 30,000 mi. now. Truck has 2300 mi. now.
