Question 4x4 Turning

When i am turning in 4 low it has a hard time turning and it will slow to a stop very fast. Is this normal. This is my first 4wheel vehical and i want to make sure it is correctly working. By the way it is a 2002 XLT extended cab sidestep.

Yep thats normal, make sure your not using 4wd on the highway cause you`ll get axle wind up and could bugger your truck.

I don't use the 4 wheel on the road ways i just use it on pavement doing my monthly engagement to make sure it stays greased up. I do use it every once in a while in the field. Thank you for the reply I just wanted to make sure that it was not messed up.

In both 4hi and 4low, your front end will bind up if you're turning on pavement. I would recommend that if your engage it on pavement you just go in a straight line. You're really not supposed to even use it on dry pavement.
