It started as I approached a curve it started making a grinding noise while downshifting but did shift into second as I turned the corner. I disengaged the gear and from that point on it will not shift into any gear. It appears to be stuck in neutral. I don't have any problems getting the shifter to move into any gear position but unfortunately it reacts as if it is neutral. Would this be a clutch problem or a transmission problem? Any insight would be appreciated. I had a new transmission installed in 2004 but the clutch was in good shape so it was not replaced.

Will it go into gear with the engine off? Can you push the truck (with the engine off) while it's it gear? Does the clutch feel normal?
