These trannys all shift slow. Every Ford truck I have driven so far has been slow...its part of life, plan ahead for downshifts. If you're tranny is slipping it wouldn't grab that hard, it would seem like it's stuck in between gears or it would stick in gear. If your tranny is slipping it means that your clutch packs are worn out or you have a solenoid dying. Which means rebuild time! Wahoo...not
