Well I decided to do a transmission drain/refill on my 89 today ... and i needed to show you all something.... i dont think its ever been changed in 21 years lol ... there was tons of metal flakes on the drain plug nut and looked like ... well old motor oil lol here is the pic

I would not have drained the oil if it looked like that, unless the trans. was already acting up, and it was a last ditch effort. That oil looks really burnt. Hope everything holds up for you.

My tranny (5 Sp) stuck in 5th yesturday. Got it home and pulled the pan on bottom and low on oil and dark. Have to use screw driver to push forks into neutral then can shift topside until I go into 5th. Whole thing starts over. Sticking. New clutch and Flywheel last weekend. I think it overheated and messed something up.
