Default Difficulty getting into 1st gear. M5OD R1

Hi, I have a problem getting into first gear. I have had this problems for many years and have learned how to shift into 1st gear by slightly moving shifter lever to the right or by going into any other gear first.
All other gears are no problem and once I go into 1st everything is normal.
Even with engine off, all gears are easily selectable.
But now, I selling this great truck and would like to fix it.

Does anyone know of an additive that would help with this problem. I am looking for an easy, economical solution.

I have a Mazda B3000, 1994. 156,000 miles. Manual transmission M5OD R1 which uses ATF lubricant (Dexon II or Mercon III).

Also, I have used the loose shifter kit and it only lasted 1,000 miles.

sounds to me like your clutch isn't engaging all the way in first gear.

I'll start consulting the service manual on how to do that.
Do you know how to adjust?
tks

I had that problem and they had to replace my slave cylinder.

have you ever had the clutch replaced? it might just be worn down and you need a new one. most clutches you can't adjust.

Slave cylinder.. Make sure they replaced it with a ford factory part though, the aftermarket replacements are shit and wear out fast.

The problem isactually a seal on the inside that slips and bypasses the system.. The ford part is less likely to do that. They're both of shitty French design.

I had my clutch and slave cylinder replaced about 25,000 miles ago. The original also had this problem for a quite a while. After replacement it ran perfect for some time.
Interestingly enough my first clutch and slave cyl. lasted 125,000 miles.

Have you ever tried transmission fluid by Royal Purple, Synchromax or MaxATF MultiSpec?
