My manual transmission has just started giving me issues with shifting into 1st & 2nd gears primarily and sometimes 3rd. It will be impossible to get into 1st from a dead stop so, I'll put it in 2nd to get going. I can drive for a few minutes going through gears from 2nd, 3rd, 4th without issue. After 5 minutes or so and coming to another dead stop, all gears work fine, even 1st. After maybe another 5 minutes or so of driving and sitting at lights, 1st and 2nd just won't go into gear again. After wiggling the stick around a bit, I can get it into 2nd and get going again. It's random how they will go into gear easily and then will not go into gear at all. Any suggestions on the cause?

When was the last time you checked or changed the trans oil?

I’m not sure the last time that was done. I’m picking up transmission fluid today so that I have it tomorrow when I get under the hood. Figured I’d start with checking the fluid since that’s where most people say to start. Thanks for replying.
