Sticker on axel
As some of you know, I just did a body lift on my truck. Having the body 3" higher more of the underneath is visable from the rear. I thought it was a good idea to throw some black paint on the axel to dress it up a bit.
Now, the reason for the post:
I had a factory ID sticker on my axel. Part of it was under the shackle on the passenger side. Anyway, I pulled that sticker off to paint the axel. When I pulled it off, there was a chunk of rust that came off with it. Apparently, this sticker held water under it and against the metal. It may be a good idea for any of you that have this sticker on your axel to pull it off before it causes the same problem on your axel, or gets worse if the rusting has already started...FYI
