It's easy to do. hardest part is attaching the new springs & that's not to bad, just can be a pain sometimes.

I'm a little nervous doing this. I just hope I don't mess nothing up.

Yea when I press the pedal it stops but when I slow down it gets loud. And the louder it gets sometimes it grinds and pops.

When you get your shoes Stu do yourself a favor an get the hardware kit and treat yourself to a combination spring remover/putter-back-on-er tool.

Also if you use your manual you'll probably see that the drum brake is the only thing that they take it easy on you by including both shoe removal and installation instead of just saying "installation is the reverse of removal."

^^ROFL!! The theme is now playing in my head...

Beef08 has a name I hear...

On topic, I think it's weird people needing to work on their rear drums... 130k and mine have never been touched and still function great. I guess that having a manual and not riding the brakes all the time may help in rear wear department? Also on topic, don't bother with fixing drums...just do this: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/how-s...-rear-end.html

LOL I have the driver side up in the air I have to take the shoes off and take them to work, to figure out if I have the 9 inch shoes or 10's. If I have the 9inch shoes I'm screwed. I have to order them and they'll be in tomorrow which I'mma finish them tomorrow so I guess it wont be that bad. How can you tell what size you have? Can you measure the drun with a tape measure?
