Question Replacing tranny in a 93 Ranger--difficult or not

Guys, just wanted to know how difficult a job is it to switch out a transmission in my 93 Ranger --5 speed? I have a parts truck. I have taken out a transmission in an old 69 Firebird, but nothing newer than that.

Its pretty easy, just finished installing my freshly rebuilt tranny in my 94 4x4. Do your self a favor though, new slave cly., get the fly wheel turned, and check the rear main. it will save you later.

Question Re: Replacing tranny in a 93 Ranger--difficult or not

I had the clutch and slave changed last year. Do you still recommend a new one?

Doubtful on the clutch then. I'd still personally still swap the slave. Just because it's so much to get back to if it starts leaking. But thats my experience.
