Bonehead move. Got shifter rebuild kit. Removed shifter not knowing it was in gear , not neutral . dont know the how to get back to neutral. that's the bonehead move. Please help.

Recently got 92 ranger with 05 Taurus 3.0. Moves well. 5 speed manual trannie. Custom headlights look sharp. Great gray paint job gets lots of admirers.. Lots of fine tuning left to do.

Pull the shifter back out, with a good light, look at the shifter gates, using a good screw driver, move the one that's out of line, back in line, replace shifter and go.
