It's so easy to overlook the obvious, I agree that the transmission is slipping...and bad. and I'm sure airflow might be another cause. Heck, like I said it's probably a mix of all the above, it's been in bad shape since day one...and if it wasn't given to me. I would have wen't elsewhere to buy a truck. That place sells some bad, screwed up vehicles and fixes em up just long enough for you to buy it. But the fluid is going to be flushed, the filter changed, the airflow (both intake and exhaust) checked out and the slippage checked out as well. Thank you all for the help...God knows you'll be hearing from me again.

if the trans is slipping like and you've been driving it that way for the last 2+ years like you said, it is definitely going to need to be rebuilt. i can guarantee at this point at the very least your clutches and steels are going to need to be replaced. you will also probably find a few other things wrong once it is torn apart too.

x3 on the catalytic converter being at least partially plugged. I would check that first.

Yeah. I figured it would probably be pretty bad. It has been like this for 2+years and I have not hade the money to do anything about it
