Default rear bearings and seals

I just finished replacing rear bearings and seals as well as a new axle on my 2002 fx4. The work was straight forward and went smoothly. The hardest part was getting the correct axle. It seems that a fx 4 has a stronger 4wd set up with lockers and other goodies. All part stores in Indianapolis carried a smaller bearing version which was also longer. I finally determined that the fx 4 has a 2.62 dia bearing journel, 31 spline end and was 30 1/8 long. I had to get one from California. It fit like a glove and now all is well with my ranger.
